18 Months!

Ok... Seriously, I'm a slacker! Let's face it! At least I'm only 9 days late, not 4 months late this time!
Braxton, you are doing so much at 18 months!
  • You are starting to talk more and more! You can say -Doggie, -Kitty, -Birdie, -Car, -Balloon, -Fishie, -Mom, -Daddy, -Jaycee, -IiiiiiiKE (Isaac), horsie, Uh-Oh, Wow.
  • You're still signing! You can sign Balloon, mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, fishy, doggy, car, kitty, ball, milk, more, eat, food, drink, ice cream, ice, hot, cold, baby, popcorn, blankie, bath, birdie, I love you (looks like he is pointing a gun!), please, and thank you, snack (he made this up himself, but he points to his belly with one finger. Which makes sense, you want a snack in your belly?!)
  • You know that a doggy says Woof, and kitty says MEEEEEEOW, and cow says MOO.
  • You know where your eyes, ears, mouth, and nose are!
  • We took you to the doctor on your 18 month birthday, and you had an ear infection. That makes number 6! Yes, you read that right, number 6!! Next one you get, you will get tubes!
  • You LOVE ice!
  • You LOVE balls
  • You have an incredible throwing arm. When I was in the store, you threw something and someone walking by said, WOW, he has an amazing throw! He can throw that so far!! It is also very powerful, and it hurts sometimes!
  • You have become really interested in airplanes and motorcycles. You can hear an airplane before I can even spot it. Same thing with balloons and balls!
  • I took you on your first motorcycle ride on July 14th, 2011. You more than loved it. You were going WOW the whole time!! I had to get you off, only by you kicking and screaming.
  • You love music and dancing
  • You have moved up to a size 4 diaper!
  • You are wearing 18-24 size pants and shirts. some 12 month shirts still fit you
  • You are wearing 3 different sizes in shoes, 3, 4, and 5. Depending on the shoe! It's crazy!
  • You love being outside, swinging on swings, sliding one slides, running, walking, and being pushed in your little green car (Thanks Mikelle!)
  • You pick your nose. Once, you even wiped it on my face. GROSS
  • You LOVE Bentley, and any dog for that matter!
  • You still HATE your teeth being brushed, some nights I'm half tempted to get a straight jacket, you're lucky I love you!
  • You usually sleep 8-8 depending on if we keep you on schedule or not.
  • You take one nap a day
  • You give the BEST kisses and hugs. Sometimes you will grab my face with both hands and kiss me, you will also look off into the sky while you kiss me. Cutest thing ever!!
  • When we get you out of your crib in the morning, or nap time you take a deep breath and then say "HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII". I love it! Please don't grow up!
  • You LOVE your blanket. You can't go anywhere without it. And you will not sleep without it.. We have a problem on our hands. But It's so cute for now! You also made up your own sign for blankie. You hold your hand against your face. Which makes perfect sense!
  • We ask you to say "Orange", but all you do is move your mouth, it is hilarious!
You LOVE to dance....
"Orange"

This is old.. but SOOOOO Cute!!

We are trying to teach you how to say "Awesome" and give a double thumbs up.. This is the outcome

    -May-
-We took daddy to the aquarium for his first time

-You LOVE Bentley! But, you are super, super mean to him. You hit him, chase him, yell at him, and even SIT on him!

-We took our first family flight together, and you screamed almost the whole way.
-You went to California for the first time ever.
-When we were in California, you woke up one morning with your right eye swollen shut. And it was super pink. We thought you had pink eye, but you weren't rubbing it, or anything like that. So we maybe thought it was an allergy to cats, but you had been around cats before, so that wasn't it. We waited all day to see if it would go down, and it went down a little, but not much. So instead of going to the beach, like we REALLY, REALLY wanted to, we took you to the hospital. We checked in and you almost immediately started screaming. They took your temp. and checked your weight and height. They then took us back to a room and the screaming started again. We had to swaddle you in a blanket so you couldn't kick and hit. They tried to give you an I.V. in your left arm, and they just couldn't get it to work. So we switched sides and did the right arm. Can I just say, that was THE HARDEST thing I have done in my life, holding you down like that while you screamed. I felt like the worst mommy ever. They finally got the I.V in and you were calm. They then had to stick a plastic bag over your penis, so they could catch a urine sample. They also took a couple blood samples so they could test your blood. We waited and waited and waited. And we waited some more. Probably almost 3 hours we waited. They came back in, said that your blood looked great. And they decided to give you some anti-biotic through your I.V. They never told us what was really wrong, but since it was in your eye, and so close to your brain, they treated it as an infection. A couple days later, and your eye was all better! Not the best way to spend your vacation!! Looks like we will have to go back to Cali again!

-Like I said before, you LOVE to dance and sing!

    -June-
-You went to St. George for the first time ever!
-You also went to Las Vegas for the first time ever!

-Grandpa Vreeland bought you a bike and brought it over. You absolutely loved it!

-You went to 7 peaks for the first time ever. And you LOVED it, you're a little fish!

    -July-
-You went to the Stadium of Fire for the first time ever.

-You went on a boat for the first time ever.

-You went camping for the first time ever on July 16th, 2011. We went up by Strawberry Reservoir. You had a blast playing in the dirt with your cousins, and riding on the bike!
