Cousins!

So Heidi had her baby 2 months before I had Braxton. So we decided to take some pictures of them together! Michelle also just had her baby, and he is 2 months younger than Braxton. I can't wait until we can get pictures of all 3 of them! Anyway, Heidi and I had so much fun taking pictures of them together, until her husband came home and ruined it by saying.. "SICK!! 2 naked cousins, that's just wrong!" Its all innocent while they are young! So deal with it!

Just some more adorable pictures!

Thank you Heidi!!

He melts my heart!

Braxton's sweet little cousins Morgan and Sydney cleaned out there room and were giving some of their stuffed animals to the good will. But they decided to leave this sweet little fuzzy puppy dog out for Braxton. He fell in love with it. When he is crying I give it to him and he will wrap his arm around it and he gets quiet. It is adorable! He fell asleep with it in his hand. I couldn't resist, so I had to take a picture!

RoAd TrIp!!

The day after Mitch left for Afghanistan, Braxton and I left for New Mexico for 10 days! It is gonna be a great way to keep my mind busy and distracted. It is a 10+ hour drive. There were 8 of us going! 2 babies, 1 toddler, 2 kids and 3 adults.. it was a car full!! We were squished hip to hip and shoulder to shoulder. It turned out fantastic! Both the babies did amazing, and hardly made a peep. This is Braxton's first road Trip. So we had to stop by the Welcome To New Mexico sign and get a picture!
All Ready to go!!

Land of Enchantment? I think the background says it all!!

Good-bye for now Daddy!!

March 20th, 2010
Mitch left today to go serve our country on a one year deployment to Afghanistan. He is in Wa. for one month doing training, and then he leaves the country from there. Today was a very hard day for me. I'm sure it was for him as well. He had to leave his loved ones behind, and his sweet little baby boy. I was very tough and didn't cry... until he got on the plane! I had to be strong for him so he wouldn't cry! He told me when we first got there to avoid the press! So him and I did our best we could to avoid them! Well, after he got on the plane, and I was crying, holding my baby, they were filming me. And they asked me if they could ask me a few questions.. They caught me in the moment, and I can't say no.. So I said yes! Here is a link the what was aired on T.V.. I'M FAMOUS!! http://www.fox13now.com/news/kstu-80-utah-troops-deployed-to-afghanistan,0,2631103.story hopefully that link works.. If not, I'm sorry. I haven't yet received any photo's (my camera conveniently died when we got there.) So when I get them, I will post them!

Family Pictures

My sweet sister Heidi has gotten into photgraphy lately and she does an excellent job for just starting! She is going to be professional soon! Anyways, she came up to visit and it so happened to be right before mitch deployed. So she was kind enough to take some adorable pictures of our family! Thanks Heidi!

Not so fun photo shoot

I wanted to get some pictures of Braxton when he was little. So we went over to Uncle Crackers (Eric) house to have him take some pictures. Braxton is typically a great baby. But he decided that he wasn't going to be that night! He screamed almost the entire time. So We only got a few good shots! But thanks anyway, uncle cracker!!

Braxton Lee Vreeland

Sweet baby Braxton was due January 10th, 2010. But the little stinker decided he didn't want to come out then, and make his mom MISERABLE, and be forced out! I was induced on January 18th, 2010. I went in at 11 a.m. The immediately started me on pitocin. The doctor came in at 1:28p.m and broke my water. I started contracting and the pain just kept getting worse. I wasn't dilating very fast. From 11 a.m to 6 p.m I had only dilated 1-2cm. I was going to be strong and and not get an epidural to make my mom proud. But I couldn't handle the pain anymore, and my mom told me I would be in labor for quite some time. So I got my epidural and 6:30 p.m. Can I just say that those are the most amazing things ever invented! I was happy and content after that! Until I felt the pressure to push and I started feeling the contractions again, due to the fact I was laying on my side. The nurse came in around 11 p.m and checked me and we discovered that he was posterior (his face was up instead of down). So I started crying, because if they can't turn the baby then you have to have a c-section. That is the last thing I wanted. Thank heavens I had a wonderful doctor that was able to turn him without a problem! Once we got him turned the process went really fast from there. I only pushed for a half hour! Thank Heavens!! My mom and Mitch were wonderful! They were helping me breath and talking me through pushing! I couldn't have done it without them. Braxton Lee Vreeland entered this world at 12:13 a.m on January 19th, 2010. He weighed 7 lbs 13 oz. He was 20 inches long. I had previously had a couple dreams that he came out a girl. So the first thing I said when he came out was "he really is a boy!!" They put him on my chest so we could be skin to skin. That was the most incredible moment I have ever had in my life. Its amazing the love you INSTANTLY feel for a child. They took Braxton and got him all cleaned up. We headed downstairs to the room we would spend the next couple nights in. You would think that after you have a baby, you can just relax and recovery in the bed. WRONG! The nurses come in almost every hour and check on you and the baby. They check vitals, temperature, bleeding, pain, etc. All I wanted to do was get some rest, I was EXHAUSTED!! Mitch was so sweet with Braxton! He just cuddled him and loved him. He gave him his first bath as well! When it came time to check out of the hospital and get Braxton dressed, Mitch and I fought over who got to dress him. It was so funny! Both of us wanted to do it. But, since I realized I would be dressing Braxton every day for the next couple years, I gave that one to Mitch! HAHA We took our sweet little bundle of joy home to enjoy him and love him! He is such a happy and sweet baby!

Braxton Lee Vreeland was given a name and a blessing on March 7th, 2010. He was given this special blessing by his grandpa, Mike Ware. Mike did a beautiful job. It was a beautiful blessing and such s strong spirit. It really put some ease on my heart and mind.

Maternity Pictures

We decided we needed some pictures of my big belly before it was all gone! Thanks to Shay Burr for taking these wonderful pictures! She did and excellent job!

I DO!!

Mitch and I decided to "run away" and get married. We chose the beautiful island of Maui, Hawaii!! To all of the people and feelings we hurt, we are truly sorry. We arrived on Maui October 11th,. 2009. We got checked into our hotel and walked down to the beach (a whole 200 steps!) We just relaxed the rest of the day.
We chose October 14th, 2009 to be the day we celebrate every year, as our day of marriage. Mitch found a Preacher online and his wife so happened to be a photographer.. convenient huh? I thought so. She just used our camera and took the pictures. We are actually very please with how they turned out. Our preacher on the other hand, he was a little different! A little TOO happy! But the ceremony was beautiful! They blessed Mitchell's Maile-Style Ti Leaf Lei. And placed a blessing upon our wedding rings. We said our vowes and then said "I DO!!" And of course enjoyed our first kiss as a married couple right after!
The photographer then took "Bridals and Groomals and couples" pictures of us.

We went to a lovely restaurant after and enjoyed a delightful dinner and a wonderful musician. The day after we got married we went scuba diving! It was SO much fun! I didn't get any pictures of that, because we didn't get an underwater camera. We also took an ALL DAY long drive on the "Road to Hana". "WOW!" is all I have to say. It was so curvy and long. I got really car sick. And it wasn't as great as everyone said it would be. We decided to take the "easy" way back home. LOL, we were wrong! It was this narrow, BUMPY, dirt road. That was completely vacant and in the middle of no where. It was extremely scary because we started driving it right as it got dark. We would have been in big trouble if our jeep broke down. We passed a few sketchy people out to know good. Glad to say that we are still alive! Our trip ended shortly after that :( but it was a beautiful trip! Can't wait to go back!

Will You Marry Me?

August 4th, 2009
Mitchell and I attended a work party of mine up at Sundance. Little did I know that he was going to propose right after! We were on our way home when I decided we should go to Squaw Peak (ya, ya, ya, I know, make-out point! haha) Anyways, we climbed down the hill a little bit and he told me he wanted to see my promise ring. At this point I had kinda figured out what was going to happen. So I teased him for a minute and wouldn't give him my promise ring. I finally did and then he said, "It's time to upgrade your ring." As he slipped a big giant RING POP on my finger! I laughed a little and I told him how much I loved it! Then he put the real ring on my finger and asked if I would marry him! And I happily said YES!! He was SO nervous! It was cute! I could tell he had been running it through his head a million times.
