Braxton's FIRST Rollover!!

Today, my worst night mare (for now) came true! My little baby boy is becoming more mobile! He rolled over from his belly to his back today!! My mom claims he did it the night before, but I didn't see it, and when I tried to get him to do it again, he wouldn't. Therefor, I say it didn't happen!! I placed Braxton on his tummy, and he started to move his arms like he was going to rollover. I ran upstairs and grabbed my camera as fast as I could, so that I could catch this special moment. It was so precious to see! I can't believe it though! Now I have to be even more careful where I put him....

Hunk!

Ok, I think I may have a baby that gains weight faster than I can blink my eye. He gained more than a pound in 2 weeks!! His little (actually, HUGE) thighs get bigger and bigger everyday!! His toes even have a little roll on them!! I love every big inch and every roll on my beautiful baby! I can't thank Heavenly Father enough, for giving me a healthy baby that is gaining weight and growing like he should be! I'm one proud Momma!!!

4 months old

Where has the time gone? 4 months old already? Really? This can't be so! It has FLOWN by!! I can't even remember what it was like to hold a small baby in my arms. I miss his little noises he made when he stretched or when he was waking up. It goes by so fast! You never understand how fast it goes, until you are actually the parent. 4 months ago today, I was in the hospital a couple hours into labor. Wondering when I would get to meet my sweet little boy., that grew in my belly for 9 sweet months, and 9 extra days!! I took Braxton to the doctor's today for his 4 month check-up. The doctor gave him an A+!!!
He is a WHOPPING 15 lbs 6 oz (61 percentile)!!!
He is 24.13 inches long (21 percentile) (Of course, he has 2 short parents!!)
His head is a very small 16 inches (12 percentile)
He is doing great with his motor skills. And he is growing great!!! This is a picture I took of him after the doctors appointment. I mind you he just had 2 shots, his face says it all!!! I love you Braxton!!

Happy Birthday dear husband!

Today, 23 years ago, my husband was brought into this world. 23 years ago! Man he is getting old! **Just kidding!** He is spending his birthday in Afghanistan this year, so I decided to celebrate for him here at home. I made a nice dinner and a cake... About the cake, let's just say that I am not meant to be a cake decorator! That's for sure!! I'm horrible and drawing designs and writing, so forgive me for that! I will try better next year. But, I did the best I could. Its the thought that counts, right? The icing is meant to be red, but it turned pink. I used like 3 bottles of red food coloring too. It just got more and more pink, so sorry Mitch!! I wish he could have been here to celebrate, but next year he will!!! I hope all my guests (just my family) enjoyed the meal and cake on Mitch's behalf! I love you babe! One year older, and wiser too... Happy Birthday to YOU!!! I hope your birthday was as enjoyable as possible

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!

I would like to express some of my feelings today, I seem to be overwhelmed with them. I love my mom so much. She is the best mom I could have ever asked for, there was a reason I picked her in heaven. I knew she would love me the way I need to be loved, hold me the way I need to be held. Comfort me the way I need to be comforted in my darkest days and moments. She is there to be my best friend and listen to me. She is the greatest Grandmother I could ask for! She is so loving, and caring, and selfless. I hope to be half the mom she is some day. I look at Braxton and think to myself, I hope I love him as much as my mommy loves me. And I hope he feels that I do. I love you Mommy!!! More than you will ever know! And thank you for EVERYTHING you have ever done. I am eternally grateful. I'll return the favor when you need your butt wiped when you grow old!!

Being my first Mother's Day, this is a new experience for me. I can't say how happy I am to be a mother. I never knew I could feel such a love for something that doesn't talk, that cries, and pees and poops on me. Braxton, I just want you to know how much I love you. I can't even put it into words. I would die for you. I would do anything to keep you happy, smiling, healthy and comfortable. I love holding you when you are sad and knowing that my presence can comfort you. I hate seeing tears in your eyes, but I love being able to wipe them away, and make everything better. Happy Mother's Day to my sisters, who themselves are wonderful examples of wonderful mothers that love their children! I love you all! And Happy Mother's Day to all the other wonderful mommy's out there today!!

Oh and Mitch surprised me with ANOTHER set of flowers for Mother's day! I must be doing something right to deserve all these flowers! They were absolutely beautiful! Thanks babe!

4 years ago on May 4th, 2006, Mitchell and I started dating. What a ride it has been.. Up and downs, near and far, and everything in between. We have been through so much with so many people. I love you Snitch! (That's his nickname!) He was so sweet and surprised me with my favorite flowers, (pink lilies.. in case you ever need to know that) and a beautiful card. I can't even begin to tell you how sweet that was and how much it made my day!! I love you goober! Happy 4 years together day!!

Safe and Sound.. for now

Well, Mitchell has officially left the United States of America, and is now stepping foot on foreign ground. He left a couple of days ago, to be a hero and a soldier for a year. He is not quite to his final destination, just waiting for a flight. He decided that he wanted to grow a mustache for "Mustache May". Lets just say, I hope he never grows a mustache when I'm around! I'm not a huge fan of it! Ha It's pretty scary!!

So I had just fed him and he was happy as a lark! He was just cooooing and ahhhing at me! It was so cute! And in the middle of it, he let out the cutest little laugh ever!! I love you Braxton

Giggles

Ok so it's kinda noisy in the background, so I hope you can hear it. I was bouncing Braxton and clicking my tounge and it would make him giggle! This is the first time I have heard him giggle! According to my mom, he does it all the time for her, I'm yet to see that though! Ha! You giggled on May 4th, 2010.
